Shipping doesn’t have a data-capture problem, it has a problem with integration, automation, and validation.
The message from the market is that they have the data, they just need the right tool to refine and check that data before sending it to the reports and teams that need it.
Verification loops matter. We’re seeing a lot of interest in how our Spinergie Operations solution captures errors and flags data-quality issues before submission, not after.
Many companies have automated parts of their emissions and performance reporting, but many still have a gap in one of three places: integrating data sources, automating the workflow, or validating data before submission.
Short-sea shipping is a good example of the need to manage vast quantities of reported data. Fixed routes run hundreds of times a year, and several reports per vessel, per day, create enormous reporting volume that has not been fully automated.
