Key Insights

Optimism is back! But while the mood on the floor was noticeably more positive than in recent years, some turbulence remains. The industry continues to navigate a period of strategic repositioning and that was coming through in the discussions we had at the stand. We’ll call it a cautious confidence.
Two topics were at the front of everyone’s mind: O&M and the supply chain. These were raised frequently by visitors to our stand and gave us a clear signal of where the pressure points are right now.
Offshore wind is becoming truly global with high involvement from players in Asia, especially China and Japan.
We were reminded that Offshore Wind is equal parts “offshore” and “wind”, a factor that’s increasingly important to bear in mind as supply chains tighten and vessel supply is absorbed by other offshore sectors.

Topics discussed

Evolving auction structures and project bankability across European markets.
Increasing presence of Asian component manufacturers in Europe.
Increasing presence of Asian component manufacturers in Europe.
Balancing CTV, SOV, and helicopter use in O&M maintenance strategies.
CLV supply amid increased subea cable demand.
