Installation and O&M performance analysis of Offshore Floating Wind Farm
This study is a comprehensive analysis of the activities associated with each vessel involved in the construction and maintenance of an offshore wind project. For the construction phase, the study distinguishes the different phases of the installation, namely anchor installation, towing, and hook-up.
For the heavy maintenance phase, the analysis focuses on the turbine disconnection, towing and reconnection. For each offshore wind project, Spinergie’s analysis provides a detailed view of the total vessel days spent per vessel category and per activity. Vessel time spent on each activity is split between productive time vs non-productive time.
The primary objective is to identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency throughout the installation and maintenance process. By delving into critical vessel performance metrics derived from recent large-scale floating wind farm projects such as WindFloat Atlantic, Kincardine, Hywind Tampen, and Provence Grand Large, we offers valuable insights and actionable recommendations for the optimal selection of cost-effective marine spread configurations.
